This page summarises how SEA AI Academy currently works. The formal policy is being finalised and will replace this summary when it is published. Questions: info@seaaiacademy.io.

Cookies SEA uses

SEA sets only first-party cookies that the service needs. None is used for advertising or to track you across other sites.

  • Sign-in session (essential). Cookies set by Supabase Authentication when you sign in, with names that start with sb-. They keep you signed in and protect your account. They last for your session and are renewed while you use SEA.
  • Language (functional). A cookie named NEXT_LOCALE remembers the language you chose. It is set only after you pick a language, and lasts up to one year.

SEA also uses your browser's session storage to remember that you dismissed a language suggestion for the rest of your visit. It is cleared when you close the tab.

Cookies SEA does not use

SEA does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics cookies, so there is no cookie banner with optional choices. This page will be updated, and a choice offered, before any optional cookie is added.

Product usage records

Separately from cookies, SEA records some product usage events on its own servers against your account, for example that you started a diagnostic. See Privacy.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, you will not be able to stay signed in.

External sites

When you open a learning resource on Microsoft Learn or another provider, that site may set its own cookies under its own policy.
